写真は今年作らせていただいた浄土宗のお寺のお庭です。
この庭園のコンセプトは、二河白道。

こちらの庭園を作るときには
門からクレーンが入らないので棒を三本組んでチェーンブロックを使い
言わば人力で作庭しました。

さすがに２トンを超える石を動かすのは、大変危険を伴うので安全にはくれぐれも注意しました。
遠目から石の向き、配置などを指示しているときは、
安全面でもワイヤーなどが切れて石が倒れる可能性もあるのでいつも大変緊張してしまいます。

それぞれの空間に適した庭園を作ることはとても大切なことです。
限られた空間で後世に残る庭園を作ることについて思うのですが、
まず大事なのはただ綺麗なものを作るのではなく
その空間に意味が含まれていること、
ただ自然で綺麗なだけで後々庭園が残ることは少ないように思います。

住宅のお庭、寺社仏閣のお庭。生活に密着した空間に携われることをうれしく思い
今後も作庭、修復、維持管理を頑張っていきたいと思っています。

追記；この作庭の時、石が重すぎて、やはりせん棒(写真で三本で組んでいる棒)がミシミシと言っていました。

Landscape gardens
This photograph is a landscape garden of a temple belonging to Buddhism Jodo sect, which I created this year.

The concept of this garden is about Niga Byakudo , which means the road to paradise is linked to a white road between two rivers , one of water ( wrath ) and the other of fire ( greed ).

Creating the garden, I could not utilize a crane, because it was blocked at the gate and couldn't enter into the neighboring site. So I created the landscape garden using chain blocks of three built-in bars by myself (without using any machines).

I paid much attention to safety, because it was very dangerous operation to move over 2 tons of a stone.
At the time of indicating directions and alignments of stones from remote positions,
I always worried about the possibility that a stone falls down due to broken wires.

It is very important to create gardens suitable for each space.
I'm thinking it as follows to create lasting gardens utilizing limited space;
Firstly, it's not important to create just beautiful gardens, but to create spaces containing meanings and intentions.
I feel that it's rare for just natural and beautiful gardens to last forever.

I'm happy to create spaces people daily use including gardens of residences, temples and shrines, so I'd like to continue to be engaged in creating, repairing and maintaining landscape gardens.
